Meet the Doctors

Dr. Daniel Van Gessel  has been helping restore people to better health since 1984. His practice, Family Chiropractic Health Center, is  located on Plainfield Ave.,one quarter mile north of Five Mile Rd., in a state of the art facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician certified by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians since 1996. He specializes in the detection and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries in individuals of all ages. He uses state of the art diagnostic equipment including digital thermography,radiology, and surface scanning EMG.

Adam T. Van Gessel B.S., D.C.

Family is extremely important to Dr. Adam which is why he has focused his education and career on the chiropractic care of families.

In 2011 he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the fountain head of chiropractic, Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He has a Doctorate of Chiropractic. He was also a recipient for awards of service honors, by receiving a certification of merit in Diagnosis, Clinical Teaching Assistant, Techniques and Radiology. In addition, he is a member of both the Michigan Association of Chiropractors and the American Chiropractic Association. He received his postgraduate proficiency rating in Activator Methods in April 2011.

Prior to Attending Palmer, Dr. Adam received his Bachelors of Science degree at Aquinas College where he majored in Chemistry with a minor in physics. While at Aquinas he had the opportunity to be a leader among his peers by aiding in the teaching of labs, being president of the American Chemistry Society student chapter and receiving such awards as the Spectrum Monsignor Bukowski Honor Scholarship, Dr. John Poje Memorial Scholarship for leadership in chemistry and the Outstanding Physics student for 2006.

Dr. Adam and his wife, Kellie, met in undergraduate school and married in the summer of 2007. They both love living in the great state of Michigan and enjoying all there is to offer.
